Works great!
We have this icemaker in the upstairs bedroom so we don't have to run downstairs. The color is very nice, you won't be disappointed if you want the green. An upstairs icemaker will definitely make the summer more pleasant. Makes cubes quickly, and the motor is not noisy. The release of the cubes is a tiny bit noisy, though, but that's o.k. We just turn it off before sleep.It is on a shelf in a bookcase, so we have to make sure there is plenty of area around it for circulation and the fan to work properly at releasing heat.
The cubes are not hard, and the small size is nice to munch on. Munching ice is so fun and a great to stay hydrated.
The small cubes fit through the openings of bottled drinks. They do melt in a room temp drink fairly quickly compared to tray frozen, but who cares? The machine makes plenty more, and we can select the larger size if wanted.
We also will be using it in our pop-up trailer when we camp at an electrical site. Ohhhhh! *That* will be so very nice!!!!!! This will be absolutely *perfect* for electricity camping.
I've only had it for a week, so I can not speak for its longevity. But so far, so good.
