I just didn't check the height of where I was going to put it. It I have to put on top of the old trash can. It also doesn't open next to the counter when turn to the left. That coud be because I have to much stuff on the counter. I really do like when I keep it tyrned in the right direction.

This is my second one of these love love it highly recommend
